Plus Size Leggings & Footless Tights
Sometimes called capri pants, depending on their length and opacity, leggings and footless tights are close-fitting with nearly full coverage, leaving your feet free. For us to consider them plus size leggings, they must stretch at least 40 inches in the hip and 35 inches at the waist. And yes, there's a difference between leggings and footless tights!
- Footless tights are simply tights with no foot and are less opaque, or thinner than leggings. Some patterned footless tights have a solid panty area. They're particularly perfect under dresses and shorts in warmer weather, for coverage without too much warmth.
- Leggings are more opaque or “like pants”, and a good warm pair leggings (or fleece-lined leggings!) are a wonderful addition to an outfit in the winter. For particularly cold locales, a lot of folks even wear them under their pants!
