Arrived just in time for the cold days ! Very happy.
As expected, the sizing is perfect. I always turn to Sock Dreams when it comes to actual thigh high socks. I'm around 180cm tall and the socks reach the half of my thigh without having to stretch ; it reaches 2/3 of my thigh when stretched.
The material really is soft, warm and not itchy. If you want to compare with cotton thigh high socks, this is basically the 'extra' version : it does feel softer, warmer and less itchy at first use. It also feels lighter, I just slept with these socks on ( coincidentally, I had a dream about sheep when sleeping ) and I almost forgot I had them on when waking up.
As warned, the socks arrived scented. I personally enjoyed the smell and I'm disappointed it started to fade overnight, but I do understand why it would be a problem to some. If you have an issue with scents, maybe wash the socks before first use, but I think it would ruin the experience.
I noticed that they are less tight, yet, slip less than cotton socks when I walk. But I recommend wearing sock suspenders if you wear thigh high socks outside anyway, you don't want to deal with constantly pulling your socks back on through your pants at work.
I hope these socks will last long. Despite being plain cream-ish white, they became my favourite socks because of the awesome sensory experience. If you actually wear thigh high socks for comfort and you can afford it, I don't think you should let the price tag stop you. I live in Europe and I quickly forgot about the delivery fee and taxes when wearing these socks. I highly recommend them.
