These socks are so gorgeous, they feel soft to the touch, and the slight dimensionality to the pattern adds textural interest and makes them feel really good quality. They stay up reasonably well but will eventually start to slip if you're moving around a lot. So if you're planning on doing any serious walking and don't want to be constantly adjusting them, I would recommend investing in some sock garters or glue.
I own the 'emerald' pair, and it is without a doubt my favorite! These are super comfortable, relatively flexible at the top cuff but very elastic throughout, with a well-designed sole and toe box. The fabric weight is perfect for cold nights, early spring, and fall, thin enough to fit into most heels and shoes but thick enough to stop a chill. When glued, they stay up into a second day of wear. They also resist staining quite well, and barely fade.
